Vláda Irska se rozhodla pro jednotný motiv na irských mincích všech nominálních hodnot. Na mincích je vyobrazena keltská harfa (tradiční symbol Irska), rok vydání mince a slovo „Éire“ (Irsko v irštině). Harfu navrhl Jarlath Hayes.
